Precautions for catalytic combustion sensors
1. Ensure sufficient oxygen content: The oxygen content must be at least 8%-10% VOL, otherwise the detection data will be inaccurate.
2. Pay attention to gases that can poison catalytic combustion sensors and affect sensor sensitivity:
① Silicon compounds, such as silane, silicone resin, and silicate.
② Harmful substances include lead compounds, such as gasoline containing tetraethyl lead.
③ High concentrations of halogenated hydrocarbons.
④ Hydrogen sulfide and other reducing sulfur compounds.
⑤ Hot organic acids (such as acetic acid) or direct exposure to acidic gases (such as HCl, sulfuric acid vapor).
⑥ Halogenated hydrocarbons present in solvents of various degreasers and cleaning agents.
