Dräger Short-term Tubes Tried and tested a million times: Worldwide, the Dräger Short-term Tubes have proven to be a very cost-effective and reliable method for the measurement of gases. Decreasing occupational exposure values, special customer requirements and new legal regulations made it necessary to develop even more sensitive Dräger-Tubes.

Dräger Short-term Tubes are glass vials filled with a chemical reagent that reacts to a specific chemical or family of chemicals. A calibrated 100 ml sample of air is drawn through the tube with the Draeger accuro bellows pump. If the targeted chemical(s) is present the reagent in the tube changes color and the length of the color changed typically indicates the measured concentration. The Drager Tube system is the worlds most poplular form of gas dectections
